VisiJet M3 Material Overview: Precision and Versatility with MultiJet Printing

The VisiJet M3 material range is curated to take full advantage of the ProJet 3500/3600’s capability to print intricate geometries layer by layer. The core strength of this material line lies in its precision-engineered plastic properties and the seamless integration of a dissolvable wax support material, enabling the creation of parts with fine details and complex internal cavities that require no manual support removal.

Dedicated Support Materials

A defining feature of the MJP process is the use of a contrast support material that can be easily removed, ensuring superior part detail without damaging fragile features.

VisiJet S300 Support Material: This wax-based material is the primary dissolvable support for all VisiJet M3 build materials. It melts away completely in a controlled heating environment, leaving a perfectly smooth surface finish and easily clearing internal channels and blind holes. This unique clean-up process ensures that fine features are preserved and complex geometries are effortlessly manufactured.

Durable Engineering Plastics

This collection of VisiJet M3 photopolymers provides the aesthetic and mechanical properties needed for rigorous engineering applications, form-and-fit testing, and high-quality presentation models.

  • VisiJet M3 Crystal: This material cures to a transparent, clear finish, ideal for applications requiring "see-thru" functionality, such as fluid flow visualization, light covers, or inspection models. It offers durability and stiffness comparable to engineering plastics.
  • VisiJet M3-X White & M3 Black: These opaque plastics emulate the look and feel of traditional injection-molded ABS plastic. They provide excellent durability, tensile strength, and impact resistance, making them perfect for mechanical prototyping, functional assemblies, and robust manufacturing tools like jigs and fixtures.

Investment Casting Wax Materials

For foundries and jewelers, the MJP technology, combined with dedicated casting waxes, provides a fast and highly accurate method for creating sacrificial patterns, eliminating the need for traditional tooling.

  • VisiJet M3 Hi-Cast RealWax: A 100% wax material that offers the cleanest burnout and lowest ash content in the industry. It is specifically formulated to leave zero residual material during the firing process, ensuring the highest quality metal castings for both jewelry and industrial parts.
  • VisiJet M3 Procast: This material provides a highly accurate, clean-burning alternative for complex investment casting patterns. Like the Hi-Cast, it is engineered for consistent thermal performance, resulting in repeatable, high-integrity metal parts.
